CPA Adan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an accomplished Finance and Tax consultant with a wealth of expertise spanning over a decade in Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Banking, achieving First-Class Honors distinction. In addition, he holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance and Currently, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, specializing in Finance, at the University of Nairobi.
CPA Adan possesses professional qualifications in accounting, notably CPA (K) and Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CFIA), and he is an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Kenya Institute of Management (MKIM).
CPA Adan has extensive professional background having previously served various institution in the field of Education, logistics and non profit making organizations among others. He also has substantial experience in Taxation where he has successful represented various clients and resolved numerous tax litigation cases at various stages, including Appeals at the Tax Appeals Tribunal, and out-of-court Tax Settlements (ADR).
In addition to his tax and accounting proficiency, CPA Adan plays a pivotal role in the firm operation where he also served as an engagement partner on various audit and assurance assignments.
His commitment to professional development and leadership extends to his roles on various boards. Currently, he is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) where he served previously as two terms member of the Member Services Committee. He was also among the Pioneer Trustees and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee at the Kenya National Entrepreneurs Saving Trust, a state corporation under the National Treasury. Furthermore, in service to the community he also served as a finance committee member of Al-Amin Masjid Trust.
On December 2nd, 2022, CPA Adan received a Certificate of Commendation from ICPAK, the governing body for accountancy in Kenya, in acknowledgment of his exceptional contributions to the accounting profession
He is a Co-Founder and Partner at A.A.ALI CPA LLP, where he leads the Tax and Accounting department, demonstrating his dedication to delivering excellence.
